Depron Drake II 36

My latest seaplane. After seeing all the fantastic foam seaplanes, I decided to try one made from depron. I wanted something a bit more simple than the twins depicted in some threads and having done a 48" balsa Drake II, that was my choice. I reduced the plans so I have a 36" WS, with a AUW of 18 ozs This is a bit of a hybrid as the wing is depron with Black Boron covering on top. Hopefully this will work out. Sides and bottom are fiberglassed with 0.75 oz cloth and Minwax Polycrylic. Paint is water based Acrylic from Home Depot. HS-45HB for the ailerons servos and HS-56HB for the rudder and elevator. Powered by a BP Hobbies BP A2208-14, CC TB 18, TP 1320 3S1P Prolite. Using a MA 6x4-3 blade prop. Static tests with my Eagle Tree eLogger indicates a max of 97 watts. Radio system is JR X9303 2.4 and AR6000 recv. Now all I need is some open water for the test flight! Joe
